The Contessa Entellina Society Tomb Restoration

Bayou Preservation was hired by the Contessa Entellina Benevolent Society to restore the vaulted plaster ceiling of their ornate society tomb in historic Metairie Cemetery. This project included replacing portions of the copper roof and repairing the plaster ceiling that had been damaged by a roof leak. We used St. Astier lime to repair the vaulted plaster, and then custom mixed a blue limewash to make the ceiling appear like the heavenly blue sky. The result was a beautiful blue ceiling that is clearly plastered, not painted.
